Miramonee (aka Monee, rhymes with Bonnie) always dreamed of living on Orcas Island. She grew up off the coast of Everett on Hat Island, and spent two weeks every summer island-hopping with her family in their boat. Everyone got to pick a favorite place to stop and help guide the trip, and Monee’s choice always was Deer Harbor.
Miramonee is uniquely qualified to work in real estate. She graduated from UNLV with her Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology. When asked what she can do with such an obscure degree, she replies, “Anything. My degree taught me to be a researcher. I learned how to think critically, to find creative solutions, and to be mindful of cultural ideologies not only on a personal level, but how they may apply to business relationships.” Her degree, combined with previous years of experience working in insurance, service and tech industries has lent itself well to the practice of real estate. The importance of timely response, attention to detail, and clarity in explanation are an asset when it comes to working with clients.
Past experience remodeling an older home (and a secret love for interior design) help to hone her skills when it comes to seeing the potential of a space. “I love being able to help people find their place on our beautiful island, whether that is building, remodeling or buying turn-key.” Her skills are also coming in handy personally, as the Harrington family has been busy designing and building an addition onto their log cabin home!
When not exploring the island with clients or volunteering, Miramonee’s favorite pastimes include sifting through beach sand with her daughter Eleanor, birding, painting, reading books in tandem with her sister, date night with her best friend, and listening to records with the windows open.
Working with Monee was a great experience. She got us into our first home in a competitive market by being fast and professional. Monee was on top of every deadline and detail and made the process so easy. I’ve heard that buying a home can be stressful and trying. But, with Monee, there was more laughter than tears. Now our family is settled in our dream home – all thanks to Monee and her professionalism and joyful optimism.
The teamwork at T Williams Realty results in someone always working on your behalf. Any questions or situations were taken care of immediately. Our realtor, Miramonee, was enthusiastic and determined that the sale of our bed and breakfast would be successful! We received good advice about other offers and we are so glad we listened! Even when the buyer’s lender started changing terms and escrow was delayed three times, both Teri Williams and Miramonee remained positive and reassuring. We are so appreciative and highly recommend this office to handle the sale of your property.
Monee helped me find my dream property on Orcas Island! She listened to what I was looking for and took the time to get to know me, so the properties she showed me were all spot on. She was incredibly supportive, kind, fun and helpful throughout the whole process. I look forward to working with Monee again in the future!
Searching for my dream property from out of state was not an easy endeavor. That is, until I found Monee. I finally had a trusted set of eyes and ears on the ground to look on my behalf. Together, we found my farm on Orcas.
